Create your first song

Start with a mood, a few instruments, and the moment you want to soundtrack.

1Open Generate and choose Simple. Describe the genre, mood, instruments, and vocal direction in a few clear sentences.
2Turn on Instrumental for a track without singing. Choose the model and review the credit cost shown before submitting.
3Generate, then listen to every returned variation in your workspace. Keep the version whose rhythm, melody, and vocal delivery fit your idea.

Shape a complete song before you choose its sound.

1Open Advanced in Generate. Use the lyrics assistant to describe your topic, mood, and story for 2 credits per A/B pair, or paste lyrics you have written.
2If the assistant returns Version A and Version B, compare the hook, verse length, and point of view. Apply the version you want, then edit the words in the Lyrics field.
3Keep section labels such as [Verse] and [Chorus]. Add the sound you want in Music style, then generate and listen for natural phrasing.

Give your track a clear musical direction without overloading it.

1Start with a genre, then add a mood, two or three instruments, and a tempo direction: “dreamy indie pop, warm guitar, soft drums, unhurried”.
2Use style suggestions to explore options. Add a vocal direction when you want singing; use the exclusion controls for sounds you want to avoid.
3Keep a copy of the prompt you like. Adjust one control between generations so you can hear which change improved the result.

Keep developing an existing musical idea.

1Open Extend for a continuation, or Cover for a different interpretation. Select an eligible song you generated on BeatMuse from your Library.
2For an extension, listen to the source and select the continuation point. Use Custom mode to provide a title, style, and extension prompt.
3For a cover, describe the new arrangement and vocal feel. Preview the returned version alongside the source before keeping it.

Build an arrangement around a vocal or instrumental source.

1Open Add Tracks and choose Add Instrumental for a vocal source, or Add Vocals for an instrumental source.
2Upload your source or select an owned Library track. Describe the arrangement, and fill in lyrics when you are adding vocals.
3Review the tool-specific settings and cost, generate, and listen for balance between the original part and the new arrangement.

Prepare parts for practice, editing, or a new arrangement.

1Open Vocal Remover and choose audio you have permission to process. Select vocals and instrumental for a simple backing track.
2Choose a supported advanced separation mode when you need individual instruments. Review the targets and credit cost before submitting.
3Listen to each returned stem in your workspace and download the parts you need. Check quiet sections as well as the loudest parts of the song.

Keep a useful title, cover, and description with every idea.

1Open Library and select the track you want to organize. Use its edit action to refine the title, description, and tags.
2Use the cover-art action when it is available for the track, describe the visual mood, and review the result before keeping it.
3Add the track to a playlist or workspace so it stays with the rest of the project. Use Favorites for versions you want to come back to.

Take the version you like into your next project.

1Open a completed track in Library and listen through the ending. Download the original audio when you want the delivered file immediately.
2Choose the WAV action when it is available. Wait for conversion to finish before downloading the WAV file; keep the page open if the conversion runs in your browser.
3Open the downloaded file in your editor and check its duration and playback. Keep the original track as well as the export.
